LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) laser scanning technology is one of the fastest growing technologies in spatial information collection and processing. Another name for LIDAR is optical radar or laser radar. Scanning takes place using the already known method of measuring the distance and angle to a certain point in the recording area. The result of this way of recording is a set of three-dimensional X, Y, Z coordinates of points called a cloud of points.
